Alastair wants to use the cellar, to be a totally normal request from a man who looks like a dashing pirate out of a storybook.

But perhaps there isn’t anything to say to a charming stranger asking to hide in your cellar but yes—and with that, Paul is drawn into sweet intrigue. Alastair is helping a local girl run away from an arranged marriage and he’s clearly got his own secrets.

Despite Paul’s powers—and the definite attraction between him and Alastair—there’s really no knowing exactly what will happen. Still, he’s willing to take some chances, especially when his heart says they matter.
